Special Projects

The Development Services Department is responsible for creating master plans for the City’s water, wastewater, and drainage systems. Special projects include traffic studies, plans for the Del Webb Sun City development, plans for the Twelve Bridges development, street pavement management plan, water service line replacements, rebuilding streets, overlaying streets, and improvements at McBean Park.

The Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) Transportation Plan has been designed and developed to provide a planning-level document for implementing the City's vision to offer residents with safe access to downtown Lincoln and other commercial areas by promoting the use of electrically powered low speed vehicles.

Although similar to the NEV Transportation Plan, the Twelve Bridges Golf Cart Transportation Plan(GCTP) extends the limits of the current golf cart transportation plan for permitted golf carts to access the Raley's, Sterling Pointe, and future Lowe's shopping center. The GCTP will also include provisions for safe access to the Kaiser Medical facility and future Twelve Bridges Library.

The Plans also include descriptions of the differences between golf carts and NEVs and proposed routes.
